WuselFaktory is a PC-first indie strategy game publisher founded by Firefly Studios, creators of the Stronghold series. Offering funding, marketing, guidance, production and sales support, Firefly's strategy publishing label is designed to support fresh ideas within the strategy space, by utilizing the experience of veteran Stronghold developers. Open to publishing any game under the broad umbrella of strategy, WuselFaktory is all about deep, systems-driven games with the loving attention to detail and world building.

History

After 25 years of developing and self-publishing our games, we decided it was high time we gave back to strategy gaming and shared our good fortune with other passionate developers.

So, in addition to the continued internal development of the Stronghold series and other projects from us here at Firefly Studios, we have now begun to publish other developers' games under a brand new label - WuselFaktory!

Its name was inspired by WuselFaktor (pronounced "Woozel-factor") -- a popular German term in gaming, particularly in strategy or city-sim games, used to describe the visual appeal and charm of dozens of tiny characters scurrying around executing their tasks.

Having kicked off our publishing journey in 2026, it is our intention to discover and publish other strategy games with loving attention to detail and mechanical depth.
